Assessment
Assessment is split between internal coursework (teacher marked), external coursework (marked by the exam board) and an exam which is done in year 12. The course broadly covers the main 3 main areas of Engineering, civil, mechanical and electrical.
At South Tyneside College you will also get a City & Guild Level 1 Welding certificate and practical experience on turning machines and hand fitting.
